"I was able to change my plan..."
I was able to change my plan without too much hassle, but i expected it to be a little more straightforward. It took me a minute to find the right page, which was kind of disappointing. Once I got there, it worked fine

"Good local news for what I need"
I’ve been using it mostly to keep up with what’s going on locally, it does the job well. The articles are usually solid, and that’s really what I’m looking for. I’m not expecting anything fancy, just clear local news I can check without overthinking it.
"Paywall was easy enough to deal with"
I was reading a Charlotte Observer article and ran into the paywall, which wasn’t really a surprise. The sign-up process was quick and straightforward, so I didn’t feel like I was jumping through a bunch of hoops.
Once I finished, the story opened right up and I was able to keep reading without a bunch of extra popups or interruptions. Overall, it worked the way I expected it to, and I didn’t have any real issues

"Billing was off"
I like reading the Charlotte Observer. The billing part was frustrating. I was charged more than I expected. Took too long to get a straight answer. Customer service fixed some of it, but I still had to keep checking my account. Not great
"A nice way to keep up with Charlotte news"
I’ve been using the Charlotte Observer app most mornings with my coffee, and it’s been really solid on my phone. My family has followed the Observer for years, so it’s nice having it right there instead of waiting to check the website later. Articles load quickly, scrolling is smooth, and the notifications are actually useful without bugging me all day. Overall, I’m happy with it...

"Local news has been feeling thin lately"
I’ve been trying to keep up with what’s happening around my neighborhood, but lately it feels like there’s barely any real local coverage. Half the articles I click are stuck behind paywalls, and when I reach out or look for more details, the answers seem to change depending on where I ask. It’s frustrating because I just want a clear, consistent update on what’s going on nearby.

"Useful local news, but I’m not totally sold"
I still check charlotteobserver.com when I want to see what’s going on locally, and some of the stories are definitely helpful. But the amount of ads makes me question the overall experience a bit. There are pop-ups, things shifting around while I’m trying to read, and it’s especially annoying on my phone. It’s not unusable or anything, but it feels cluttered enough that I wonder if the quality is slipping...

"articles could use better fact checking"
some of the stories are helpful, but i’ve noticed incorrect details and missing updates a few times now. it makes it hard to fully trust the reporting. i just wish they’d slow down a bit and double-check things before publishing.

"Decent local news, but the slant gets tiring"
I still check it for local news and it usually does the job, but the political slant can be noticeable after a while. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, just gets old sometimes. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

"Canceling Shook My Trust"
Trying to cancel my subscription was way more frustrating than it should’ve been. I had to call twice, and even after that, I still got billed again. Stuff like that really makes it hard to trust the company going forward

"I paid for the digital access, but I..."
I paid for the digital access, but I don’t know why it’s been such a hassle. The site keeps logging me out, and half the time the articles won’t even load. I reached out to customer support, but whatever they suggested didn’t fix anything. Disappointing overall.

"Pretty decent once you get past the clutter"
I’ve been using charlotteobserver.com on and off, mostly when I want to catch up on what’s going on around Charlotte or check in on local sports. I’ve tried a few other news sites too, and some of them feel a lot more expensive for what you actually get.
The site itself can be a little annoying at times. There are more pop-ups than I’d like, and I’ve had moments where the subscription details weren’t as easy to understand as they should be. Finding a specific story can also take a little digging sometimes.
That said, I still think the local coverage is useful, and the price feels fair enough for me to keep it for now. It’s not perfect, but for local news and sports, it does the job. I’d give it 4 stars

"Good paper but delivery can be hit or miss"
I like the paper when it actually shows up. The delivery has been late a few times and one day it didn’t come at all. It’s not the worst thing ever just a little annoying when you’re expecting it

"Easy to Use and Straightforward"
I’ve found CharlotteObserver.com easy to navigate overall. The site is laid out in a way that makes sense, pages load without much trouble, and I can usually find local news and stories without having to click around forever. It’s a fairly smooth experience, that’s all I really need from a news site.

"Glad I Reached Out to Customer Service"
I usually try to figure things out on my own before contacting support, because I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, but in this case I’m glad I reached out. They got back to me really quickly and fixed the issue without making me go through a ton of back and forth. It was easy, so I don’t really have anything to complain about.
